Accessibility details | This project is delivered out in the community, hospital or care homes as required. |
The IMCA project is for 16+ and is for people who lack capacity and do not have appropriate family or friend to represent their views with specific decisions - for serious medical treatment, change of accommodation, care reviews and safeguards.
This project also covers Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS). This is where the DoLS advocates protect the human rights of people who have been admitted to hospital, in residential care and who lack capacity and it appears they are being deprived of their liberty for their own safety.
