Opening hours John Taylor Hospice is open all day every day.

John Taylor Hospice offers regular and one-off breaks of one or two weeks for people aged 18 and above who have a palliative diagnosis.
Respite breaks can be booked and planned in advance throughout the year and you can book up to eight weeks per year with at least six weeks between each stay. Admission is usually on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday between 10.30am and 2pm unless prior arrangements have been agreed with our bed manager and doctor.
Typically your GP, your district nurse or one of the community team from John Taylor will make the request for respite breaks and recommend the frequency in discussion with you. They will also arrange to visit with you 1–2 weeks prior to admission to carry out an assessment of your condition and clinical needs during your stay with us.
Your physical and psychological symptoms should be stable and transfer for respite admission is not available to patients direct from hospital.

You can simply rest during the day or you can choose to join the Heart of the Hospice with people who come to the hospice for a day. You may also benefit from our many other services including our pharmacists, dietitians, occupational therapists, physiotherapists and family support worker.
The Well-Being Team can offer you space to talk through your fears, concerns and worries. Our spiritual care lead is there for you and can arrange for leaders of different faiths to visit if you require them. In our Quiet Space you can find time to pray, read or be alone when you need it.
