Impact Fitness Academy is a Community Interest Company delivering Mixed Martial Arts & Wrestling classes to both adults and children across Birmingham.

Impact Fitness Academy’s aim is to sustain the health and wellbeing of the local community through the use of fitness classes, in particular MMA & Wrestling. The social enterprise’s classes are delivered by a team of dedicated, fully trained and experienced professionals who have extensive knowledge in strength training, mentoring and personal development.

Our coaches are all level 2 qualified and have personal experience in using sport to turn their lives around and they have worked really hard to become positive mentors to young people. As a community we have a responsibility to provide our youth with the same opportunities.

For us, making Impact Fitness Academy a success gives us the chance to be able to provide a service that will give individuals and the local community a better quality of life through health and well being.

Our experiences in delivery includes:

-Let’s Get Get Fizzical Programme with Sport4life: we ran Mixed Martial Arts after school sessions across school in Birmingham.
-Freestyle Wrestling sessions from the Lighthouse Young People centre in Lozells: for 10-16 year olds, which was kindly funded by Near Neighbours.
-Joseph Chamberlain Fitness Centre in Highgate: we deliver wrestling classes to kids aged 5-16 year olds, we have about 50 kids attending.
-Sportivate Sessions starting soon at Handsworth Wellbeing centre: we will be delivering wresting and fitness classes to 8-16 year olds as part of the Be Active scheme.
