Meeting for Worship: Sundays 10:45 am
Central to the Quaker way is the silent Meeting for Worship. We seek a prayerful, communal stillness, where we can be open to inspiration from the Spirit of God and of Christ. We hope to find peace of mind, a renewed sense of purpose for living, and joy to wonder at God’s creation.
The Meeting begins when the first person enters the room. There are no special seats - people sit where they feel most comfortable. On the table are copies of the Bible and Quaker Faith and Practice.
There is no pre-arranged service or ceremony, and no ordained minister. We entrust worship to the spirit of God and ministry may be given to anyone present. They may contribute through speech, prayer, song, or by reading from the Bible or another written source of inspiration.
Quaker Meetings are open to all. If you would like to join us and share in our stillness you would be most welcome.
We are actively involved in Churches Together in Hall Green.
The Meeting House is accessible downstairs for those with limited mobility, including an accessible toilet. There is a hearing loop.
