Our purpose-built residential care home in Coleshill is designed with ease of movement in mind and is fully accessible.
Opened in 2002, it is the largest project in the Adult Care department with 59 bedrooms. However, as they are laid out in four self-contained wings over two floors, it never feels crowded and instead has a welcoming, homely feel.
Each wing has fourteen personalised bedrooms with en-suite facilities. A further three bedrooms are located on the landing and are currently occupied by our retired priests, who celebrate daily mass for residents wishing to attend.
Care is provided by a dedicated, motivated and compassionate staff team who are well trained and experienced in what they do. They are on hand 24 hours a day to provide residents with the help and support they need.
We encourage and welcome the involvement of family and friends. We believe that by working together we are more effective in looking after people in our care. We value the support and contribution of family and friends to what we do and how we do it.
Activities
Activities and social events are held regularly either one to one, in small groups or all together in St. Joseph’s social lounge. Entertainment is varied and aims to suit all tastes and interests. Singers, dancers, florists, exercise instructors and others all drop in to provide a stimulating variety of things to do or join in with.
Facilities
St Joseph’s has a dedicated chapel, a small hairdressing salon and a shop for a variety of everyday items, sweets and chocolates. Pretty, landscaped gardens wrap around the home and are always available for residents and visitors to take a stroll in. The view from the first floor patio over the Warwickshire countryside is something to behold.
Each of the four wings has a supported bathroom for people preferring this option over a shower. Each wing is open plan, giving access to a spacious lounge, dining room and kitchen.
We also have a wheelchair accessible car for trips out or to take residents to appointments.
