C.A.S.A. operates through a network of surgeries and drop-in sessions provided in partnership with local grass roots community organisations in Birmingham. These partnerships are crucial in reaching ‘hard to reach’ groups that do not have the knowledge or self-confidence to access services independently.
C.A.S.A. provides home visits (by welfare advisors) for those individuals who are, for whatever reason, housebound (e.g. due to a disability).
These services are funded on a contract basis and therefore available to eligible clientele only.
There are laws to protect us from being treated unfairly, but it still happens to most of us. When it does we have to stand up for ourselves – but that isn’t always easy. It’s often hard to know who is in the right, where to start, or what to do if it isn’t easily solved. That is, until you know how.
