At Birmingham St Mary's Hospice, we recognise the growing demand for care across Birmingham and Sandwell. In response to this, we offer a range of services at the Hospice, in people’s homes and in the local community all of which give patients more choice and make Hospice services more accessible for all.Our bedded Inpatient Unit has a mix of single-sex wards and individual private rooms, all of which are staffed by a multidisciplinary team of nurses, Specialist Palliative Care Consultants and doctors.
Our Day Hospice facility offers a therapeutic programme of care to patients that focuses on living well with a life limiting illness, addressing symptom control and supporting emotional, social and spiritual needs.
The Welcome Group is a volunteer led group that provides social and peer support, and carer respite for patients who have a life limiting or terminal illness.
Our weekly Outpatient Clinics are held in our Day Hospice and off site within the local community at one of our Satellite Clinics across the city.
Our Transfusion Clinic provides blood/platelet transfusion or bisphosphonate infusions to independently mobile and self caring patients with a terminal illness.
