Support is being provided around the needs of the clients and carers with risk assessment and social distancing in place. Support is available via phone, virtual, door step and if appropriate within the home with social distancing in place and PPE.

Age Concern Birmingham Day Care (during COVID19; telephone, virtual, community and home support)

All our day care clients are being contacted on an agreed basis, for many the agreement is daily contact.
With social distancing in place wellbeing checks are provided for clients and carers by telephone, email or through for example zoom, agreed by the client or carer. We are offering a range of advice and support on personal and practical care to stay at home, also advice on activities to do within the home to stimulate mental and physical wellbeing. The offer is around the needs of the person and the reassurance we can give.

We provide fresh/home cooked meal delivery service from a wide menu of home cooked meals and puddings
Flexible sitting service within the home to allow carers to have a break, leave the home for those who have appointments to attend or need to go out for essential journeys
Food, essential item shopping and prescription collection service.
Carers information and support in partnership with Birmingham Carers Hub
Free essential food and items bags delivered for clients in need who are self-isolating
Telephone calls and virtual calls for just a friendly chat
