CHILDREN AND FAMILIES SUPPORT: Children and Young People Services (BID)
Deaf Cultural Centre
We are continuing to provide support to children, young people and families through our dedicated Children in Need team.
Youth club continues to run every Wednesday afternoon at 4:30pm via online platform Zoom. Sessions will be a mixture of informal chats, games and some activities led by deaf role models.
We are going to provide online support and training for young people and advice and guidance for parents. More information will be released shortly through our Facebook pages.
We have set up a closed Facebook group called BID Youth - Stay at Home Ideas. This is a private resource for parents, youth club staff and some young people to share ideas and activities during this time at home.

Children & Young People Services
Thanks to funding from Children in Need, we run a number of term time and non-term time activities for deaf children and young people aged 8 - 18 and their siblings.
We organise a number of holiday activities for deaf children and their siblings. Activities range from climbing, sailing, eco work, volunteering with the National Trust, jungle challenge, tobogganing, orienteering and so much more!
We run a weekly youth club for young deaf people, from 8 - 14 years old. The youth club launched in October 2014 and runs every Wednesday, from 4:30pm - 6pm during term time.
