As part of the government bid to ‘delay’ the spread of Coronavirus you may be advised to self-isolate. Self-isolation refers to the removal of yourself from public spaces, such as your workplace and schools, and by staying at home instead.
At The Active Wellbeing Society we are working closely with our own projects, volunteers and also other external organisations to bring you advice and services you may require. We will shortly create a page with a list of organisations we are currently collaborating with and services available to you.
It’s normal at a time like this to feel confused and uncertain but it is important to stick to the facts and be wary of false news that is communicated on social media. Please refer to this page for links to government/ NHS sourced information.
Staying at home for an extensive period of time can trigger feelings of loneliness so make sure to stay in contact with friends, family and colleagues via text, calls and social media.
If you are feeling lonely and need a friendly chat, or need some help to pick up urgent supplies during self-isolation then please don’t hesitate to contact us using the details below. People who are self isolating or organisations looking for support can also contact us via the below pages, or calling 0121 728 7030 during office hours. Please note this support is currently only available for Birmingham residents, but keep an eye on this page for future updates.
