Advice and guidance for people with autism
|Organisation||Autism West Midlands|
At Autism West Midlands we believe that confidentiality is a very important part of our service and we will treat any confidentiality problems very seriously. Anything that you wish to discuss will stay confidential. This means that we will not pass on any information about you unless you agree that we can do so. This includes anything from details about your health to whether you are one of our service users. The only reason why we might consider passing on confidential information without your permission is that we have a duty of care to protect you or someone else from serious harm. This information will then be passed on to a senior member of staff.
Our information team is part-time but will endeavour to respond to any emails and/or calls within 24 hours of any working week day. If responses are delayed, it may be because we are unable to staff the Helpline on evenings, weekends, bank holidays, or during periods of absence.
