Opened in 2012, the Oakfield Road service offers emergency accommodation and support to individuals in crisis and/or transition. This could be following the breakdown of an existing placement or difficulties in the family home.
Individuals are supported on a short-term basis while their needs are assessed and a suitable long-term placement is found for them.
Our person-centred approach to support ensures that adults placed at Oakfield Road will be assessed during their stay. This will ensure that decisions made about future placements are completely suitable for the individual. Living at Oakfield Road will also give service users the opportunity to go through a transition and settling stage in a safe environment before the possibility of sharing with others.
The flats have a supportive and enthusiastic staff team providing support tailored to the unique needs of each service user. The staff team are dedicated individuals who have undergone a supervised induction period, regular guidance from senior members of staff and a thorough introduction to the service's policies and procedures concerning care plans, health and safety, equality and challenging behaviour.
