Charity providing help and other services for carers of all ages
|Organisation||Carers Trust Solihull|
The Carers Centre, Solihull Fire Station Annexe, 620 Streetsbrook Road
The main aims of the centre are to support carers of all ages who are, or were carrying out a caring role for persons who are disabled, elderly or ill. Our vision is to be able to reach and offer practical help, advice, assistance, advocacy and support to as many unpaid carers across the borough of Solihull. Our primary beneficiaries include unpaid carers of all ages, their families and the wider community.
Solihull Carers Centre has been supporting carers in Solihull for 10 years. The development of the service means that we now support carers across the borough from the age of 5 years old with no upper age limit. The centre has also recently introduced working with young adult carers from the age of 18-30 years. This project also incorporates a programme for young carers from the age of 16-18 years to enable them to make a smooth transition from young carers service to young adult services.
