Shared Accomodation for women aged 18-25
871 Bristol Road,
We are based in Selly Oak and have eleven houses, providing shared accommodation for 47 women aged 18 – 25 who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness (we will also consider accepting 16 & 17 years olds dependent upon circumstances).
The scheme is staff 24 hours per day and floating support is available through an external provider.
Besides homelessness, residents may have experienced one or more of the following problems: domestic abuse, sexual abuse, family or relationship breakdown & estrangement from family and friends, refugee or homeless & pregnant (pregnant women can stay until the end of their pregnancy and are then moved on to more suitable accommodation as we cannot have babies/young children living here).
All residents have their own bedroom with bed, washbasin, fridge & wardrobe provided. Each resident will shared a kitchen, provided with washing machines & other white goods, and a bathroom with shower.
We are have a communal TV room complete with a PC that can be used and Wi-Fi.
We consider applications which meet the scheme criteria on a referral/interview basis from Birmingham Youthline and any other agencies who may come into contact with our client group. Also we accept self-referrals and young women can approach us directly without going through any other agency.
